Melissa Viviane Jefferson, known professionally as Lizzo, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and flutist. Brought into the world in Detroit, Michigan, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she started performing, before moving to Minneapolis, where she started her recording career.
